By placing an order, you (the “Buyer”) agree to the following:

  1. You have contacted any local, state and or federal authorities where necessary.  It is your responsibility
    and not JLA Services Maui, L.L.C., dba Self Defense Solutions Hawaii (the “Seller”) to ascertain and obey
    all applicable laws in regard to the possession and use of Seller’s products.  All products received will be
    used for legal purposes only, and you are acting in a lawful manner with regard to this and any other
    orders/products from Seller and anyone affiliated with Seller.  Also, by placing an order, you agree that
    Seller, and anyone affiliated with Seller, has no control over the use of any product ordered.  You also
    agree that, under no circumstances will you hold Seller, anyone affiliated with Seller, or the manufacturer
    liable for any loss, including any circumstances arising out of the use or misuse of Seller’s products.  Seller
    assumes no liability for the products or services it represents.
  2. Absolutely no sales to minors.  You are at least 18 years of age and of legal age to own and possess the
    items being purchased.
  3. You will read and follow all product packaging and labels, including but not limited to, instructions and
    warnings.
  4. All products are sold upon the condition that Seller will not be liable for any arrest, accident, or injury
    occurring during the transportation, handling, storage, sale, or use of Seller’s products.
  5. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Seller, and anyone affiliated with Seller, from and against all
    claims and expenses, including attorney's fees, arising out of the use of any of Seller’s products by you in
    reference to any claim however caused and on any theory of liability or tort (including negligence).
  6. Since no product is 100% effective against attack, Seller, and anyone affiliated with Seller, assumes no
    responsibility if a product purchased is not effective in preventing bodily injury, dismemberment, or death.  
    By placing an order, you release Seller, and anyone affiliated with Seller, of any liability regarding your
    actions concerning the sale, use, ownership, and shipping of any products purchased. You assume all
    responsibility and liability.
  7. You have read all information above and understand its contents.


State Laws And Restrictions

States Where Pepper Sprays are Restricted

    New York: New York residents may only purchase defense sprays from licensed Firearms Dealers or
    licensed Pharmacists in that state.

    Massachusetts: Massachusetts residents may only purchase defense sprays from licensed Firearms
    Dealers in that state.

States Where Pepper Sprays Have Some Restrictions

    Michigan: Pepper spray must not be more than 10% and can be used for self defense. "The reasonable
    use of a self-defense spray or foam device containing not more than 10% oleoresin capsicum by a person
    in the protection of a person or property under circumstances that would justify the person's use of
    physical force."

    Wisconsin:  Tear gas is not permissible.  By regulation, OC products with a maximum OC concentration of
    10% and weight range of oleoresin of capsicum and inert ingredients of 15-60 grams are authorized.  This
    is 1/2 oz. and 2 oz. spray. Further, the product cannot be camouflaged, and must have a safety feature
    designed to prevent accidental discharge.  The units may not have an effective range of over 20 feet and
    must have an effective range of six feet.  In addition there are certain labeling and packaging
    requirements: must state cannot sell to anyone under 18 and the phone number of the manufacturer has
    to be on the label.  The units must also be sold in sealed tamper-proof packages.

NOTE: Pepper Spray is legal in all 50 states, however a number of cities and states have restrictions on sizes,
strengths, etc.. If you have a question, it is wise to check with your local city or state attorneys office. Defense
sprays should only be purchased by those 18 years of age or older. The above list may not be totally accurate or
